CellShield is a low voltage cutoff device which provides cell-by-cell protection for lithium battery packs. By monitoring each cell individually, CellShield prevents individual cell overdischarge due to pack imbalance or cell variations.
CellShield provides a soft cutoff when the lowest voltage cell of the pack reaches the set minimum voltage. The minimum voltage is adjustable from 2.5v/cell to 3.5v/cell. This lets you set the proper cutoff voltage for your specific pack. For example, 8-10C cells typically use a 3.0v/cell cutoff, while 20C cells work better with a 3.2v/cell cutoff. CellShield's cutoff voltage is set with an easy-to-use potentiometer. There are no programmers to buy or complicated programming procedures. With CellShield, you turn the arrow to the cutoff voltage you want and go fly.
CellShield also features optional thermal probes, which prevent pack damage due to overheating. When using the thermal probe, if the battery temperature rises above 150 degrees, CellShield will reduce the throttle command sent to the ESC in an attempt to bring the battery temperature back down. If the battery stays above 150 degrees, CellShield will enter soft cutoff mode. When using the thermal probe, CellShield alerts the user to temperature faults by flashing the red Temp light. The thermal probes are extremely thin, and can often be inserted between the innermost cells of the pack, where pack temperature is highest.
CellShield installs easily between your receiver and ESC. Simply plug the battery port on the CellShield into the tap connection on your battery, and it will automatically detect the number and cell order for any pack with .1" tap spacing. If you are running a battery with 2mm tap spacing like Thunderpower, a 2mm to .1" adapter is all that is required to use CellShield. CellShield will then light an LED corresponding to the detected cell. You can even plug the battery tap in "backwards" and in any position, and CellShield will operate correctly. No soldering is required to install CellShield.
CellShield works with any ESC and power system except some opto-isolated ESCs when used with receiver batteries. For cell-shield to operate, the battery ground and radio ground must be at the same level. This is the case for all ESCs with a built in BEC (whether or not the ESC's BEC is being used) and all ESCs using external BECs.

CellShield is intended for aircraft with 0-100% style one direction only throttle. A future product will be aimed at cars.
Tail Servo Step-Down Voltage is ideally designed to step-down a voltage source of 6 volts that is outputted from any external BEC (battery eliminator circuit) down to 5.2 volts. This allows an external 6 volt BEC to be used with Futaba servo models 9241. 9251. 9253. 9254. 9255. 9256 and other digital servos that are not capable of handling 6 volts. The Tail Servo Step-Down Voltage is equipped with male/female servo plugs and is ideally used in series with the RC model's gyro and rudder servo to prevent any harmful damage or overloading to your servo. The Tail Servo Step-Down Voltage can also be used with any other applications that require a step down power voltage of approximately 0.8 volts

For some servos such as Futaba servo models 9241, 9251, 9253, 9254, 9255, 9256 and other digital servos are not capable of handling 6V, please connect a 5.1V step-down voltage regulator to the rudder servo, or connect it between BEC (ex. RCE-B6X) and the receiver for all servos. It could avoid the servos overloading and damaged.

Auto-trim
Another important feature is automatic trim; a button-press on the transmitter automatically neutralises the three control axes: pitch, roll and tail. For auto-pilot operations the trim is only necessary during the first flight (after installation). However the trim can also be used for manual control. Any reasonably smooth phase of flight lasting a minimum of seven seconds is sufficient for the automatic trim system to define correct trim values. The settings are stored, but they can also be revised and corrected at any time.

This makes it possible to control all current types of helicopter using simple radio control systems (without swashplate mixers). Stage 2 = Position-holding and "ground-speed" regulation
The HeliCommand stabilizes the geographical position of the model helicopter it also stabilizes its flight attitude. The HeliCommand incorporates several control and measurement systems (triple axis gyros and an optical CCD sensor) to provide a superb of stability. It is ideal for the beginner. It adds a level of control and confidence that prior to this time has been unavailable to any model helicopter pilot. Dual redundancy (in both the hardware and software programming) throughout was designed into the HeliCommand. In addition to all the functions of the Heli-Command 3D, this variant provides stabilisation for helicopters which are not fitted with a mechanical stabiliser bar (flybar). This applies, for example, to some scale machines and helicopters with multi-blade rotor heads. This special attitude-holding stabilisation reliably prevents the characteristic tendency of "flybar-less" rotor heads to balloon up abruptly.
Model helicopters with a rigid head are more agile, contain fewer parts and consume less motor power. The HeliCommand "Rigid" offers a broad field for experimentation in the future.
